Nat Sherman, Knickerbocker Hotel Part Ways
After less than a year of operation, the Nat Sherman Cigar Lounge at St. Cloud, located atop New York City’s revitalized Knickerbocker Hotel, is no more.
“We decided to conclude our association with The Knickerbocker because it did not provide an experience that was conducive to or representative of the Nat Sherman brand,” said Bill Sherman, executive vice president of Nat Sherman International, in an official statement.
The lounge, which opened in August 2015 nearly a year after the concept was announced, occupied a corner of the 7,500-square-foot rooftop bar called St. Cloud, which is a property of chef Charlie Palmer. It offered guests a selection of Nat Sherman cigars to pair with their cocktail, glass of wine or beer.
According to The Knickerbocker Hotel, guests can still smoke cigars at the rooftop bar for now.
